Letter to Parents
Kappa Delta's open motto, "Let us strive for that which is honorable, beautiful, and highest", is what the Gamma Beta Chapter of Kappa Delta lives by. Here at the University of North Texas, we like to think of Kappa Delta as more than just a sorority. Kappa Delta is a sisterhood and that home away from home.
Scholarship, Philanthropy, Leadership, Social Success, and Membership are all important to the women of Kappa Delta.
Academics between Greek Organizations tend to be a tight race at the top. However for the past few semesters, Kappa Delta has been ranked in the top three in the Panhellenic council overall GPA ranking. As Kappa Delta strives to make the best grades possible, we achieve is a great amount in other areas as well.
We support four philanthropies including Prevent Child Abuse America, Girl Scouts of America, Children’s Hospital of Richmond Virginia, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Research. We have several events throughout the year supporting and benefitting these philanthropies. Kappa Delta is lucky enough to get a lot of "hands on" events, inviting girl scouts over to our home to do confidence building activities. Kappa Deltas strive to "Go Confidently". All of our philanthropies center around confidence.
Leadership is extremely important to our chapter. We do not limit ourselves to just our own chapter, but majority of our members are in outside organizations and many of them hold leadership positions within those. Kappa Delta's enjoy being active on campus. Being socially successful is something our chapter enjoys. We hold ourselves to a high standard as we branch out into our community and onto campus, being as active and as supportive as possible. All of this while having fun!
Our sisterhood is very vital to our chapter. We like to plan special events on a regular basis to enjoy social interaction and bonding time with sisters across all ages and pledge classes. The Gamma Beta chapter of Kappa Delta has a very strong, genuine sisterhood that results in uplifting attitudes and friendships that last forever.
We could never do it all without the love and support from our parents. We thank you for all the you do for our chapter, and sharing your wonderful daughters with the Gamma Beta Chapter of Kappa Delta.
