About Kappa Delta
In 1897, four young women at State Female Normal School of Virginia (now Longwood University) joined together with a common vision — to create something “higher and nobler,” an organization that would empower women through friendship and high ideals. Over 125 years later, the sorority continues to live the dream of its founders by providing a lifelong experience for our members through support and sisterhood.
The Kappa Delta experience offers members the chance to leave their mark on the future and impact the lives of members and those in need around the world. Contributions to the Kappa Delta Foundation from alumnae, collegians and friends enable the sorority to further its philanthropic efforts, local community outreach programs, as well as scholarships and educational opportunities for members.
We have chosen to become Kappa Deltas because we believe that, in some way, all of us can be better together than each of us can be alone. That is the strength of Kappa Delta. Learn more about Kappa Delta Sorority and the Kappa Delta Foundation by visiting our national organization’s website.

About Gamma Beta
Founded on February 13, 1954, Gamma Beta has a long-standing tradition of sisterhood, leadership, and service at the University of North Texas. We are a values-based, service-oriented sisterhood committed to academic excellence and meaningful community involvement. We provide a supportive environment where members grow personally, academically, and socially.
Our members are actively involved across campus, holding leadership roles within student organizations, academic programs, and campus employment, all while prioritizing academics and fostering lifelong friendships.
Service is at the heart of Gamma Beta. Each year, our chapter raises thousands of dollars for Prevent Child Abuse America through Shamrock Week and maintains a strong partnership with local Girl Scout troops through hands-on community events.
We also value family involvement and transparency. Through Parents' Weekend, Women We Love, and Men We Love, families are invited to stay connected and experience the community that defines our chapter.
